COVID-19

SFSC COVID-19 Rules

  • If you are displaying any of the Covid-19 symptoms, for the safety of yourself and others, please do not visit SFSC and be sure to follow Government guidelines around self-isolating and getting tested
  • Upon arrival please check in using the NHS Test and Trace App QR code which is displayed at the Club. If you do not have access to a Smart Phone you can record your details manually using the Contact Tracing Log at the galley
  • Please maintain social distancing at all times
  • By law, Follow the ‘Rule of 6’ at all times: do not switch between groups. No groups larger than 6 are allowed, unless it’s household or support bubble is larger
  • You will need to wear your mask when inside the buildings. Masks can be removed when seated, but must be put back on when you leave your table
  • The galley will be open, with a one-way system in place for ordering and collection. Please be aware that it is currently a legal requirement to remain seated while consuming food & drink
  • Please do not move chairs, tables or benches (both inside and outside)
  • Contactless payment would be preferred if possible
  • Come dressed ready for sailing: unfortunately it will not be possible to get changed or store bags in the Clubhouse
  • Changing rooms: the use of the shower and the changing rooms are for essential use only, and should be sanitised after use by the user or a responsible adult
  • Bring all your own equipment wherever possible, and please do not share equipment
  • Depending on space availability inside you may need to watch the racing and socialise outside, even if the weather is poor. Clubhouse doors and windows will also be fixed open during busy periods to provide ventilation
  • Please prepare you boat and launch at least 2 metres away from others
  • Those sailing with participants from different households are responsible for following the relevant RYA guidelines
  • Club dinghies are only to be used on club sailing days, and within the same household over a 72 hour period, please clean after use
  • Outside of organised events the indoor club facilities are closed, however public loos are available next to the carpark
  • Open Events must be entered in advance, this is to enable us to maintain safe numbers
  • Those travelling from Tier 2 (high risk) areas: must not mingle with others outside of their household/support bubble whilst inside the buildings
  • Those travelling from Tier 3 (very high risk) areas: following RYA guidance, please do not visit SFSC
  • Anyone not following these rules may be asked to leave
